Step Into Our Candle Collection

We find candle clutter (and candle paraphernalia) everywhere. I guess you could say they’ve become a bit of a “hot” topic at Edit My Closet. And we’re just “burning” to talk about the best ways to toss (or simply use!) them.

Snuff out candle clutter!

Stop saving candles for special occasions! They’re not “too pretty” to use – that’s what they’re made for. Nothing irks us more (well that’s not entirely true) than unlit candles on display as decorations (especially with dust on them). We see them predominately in bathrooms and on coffee tables. Light them, use them and buy more.

Saving candles for emergencies? Like power outages and romance? Find a proper home for them in accessible cabinets or drawers. Store them with reusable birthday cake candles (and avoid purchasing new ones with every cake).

Toss candle accessories such as holders, plates and containers if they’re not being used. And we know there’s a process to revive candles too melted to be lit (or that have their wicks submerged in wax) but honestly will that ever happen? Say goodbye and buy more.

Beeswax candles don’t leave nasty black smoke stains on walls and appliances. They also act as natural air purifiers. (How? None of your beeswax!)
